Crohn's in Adulthood Series

Growing up, my mom and I used to discuss what life would be like if I had gotten diagnosed in adulthood, versus childhood. We used to mull over the different impacts the timing for each has. We used to think that for childhood, it does affect having a normal childhood, however it's easier to get a child to start developing certain habits as they get older (i.e diet changes, making it to appointments, etc.). Whereas in adulthood, it's like having to relearn and adjust all your habits, however you're a little older and able to handle the transition a bit better.

Well, now that I've been able to experience both ends of it, I've realized we were only accurate about one thing- there is a massive difference.

In this series, I want to dive deeper in looking at Crohn's in Adulthood, while ending the series with a 'Letter to my Younger Self'. I'll be exploring topics such as navigating the workplace, finding a balance, how to accept limitations, and many more! So let's dive right in.
